2023 Art Adventures: Watercolor Bug Paintings (6–8yr. old class)

• In this class, students will learn about different types of bugs and how to draw them! Then they will use their new bug knowledge to create a watercolor painting featuring a special close-up of their favorite insect in a magnifying glass.

2023 Art Adventures: Turtle Paintings (9–11yr. old class)

• In this class, students will learn about shape and how to use shapes to draw almost anything! They will use their shape drawing technique and practice with watercolor paints to create a beautiful watercolor turtle painting.

2023 Art Adventures: Folk Art Rabbit (6–8yr. old class)

• In this class, students will learn about Folk Art and the inspiration that is often found in nature and woodland creatures. Students will use cut paper to create their symmetrical rabbit figures, then decorate the edges with crayons and folk art designs.

2023 Art Adventures: Folk Art Cityscape (9–11yr. old class)

• In this class, students will learn about Folk Art and their whimsical sense of perspective. Students will practice drawing trees buildings, and cars in the fun style of Folk Art, and then create their own whimsical cityscape inspired by their own towns using markers and watercolor paints.

2023 Art Adventures: Colorful Animal Collages in the Style of Norval Morrisseau (6–8yr. old class)

• Students will learn about artist Norval Morrisseau and his colorful animal artworks! We will then practice breaking down complex shapes into smaller pieces to practice their drawing skills. Students will choose an animal to make into a colorful, shape filled collage.

2023 Art Adventures: Interactive Art - Seasons Agamograph (9–11yr. old class)

• In this class, we will explore all of the seasons Minnesota experiences and learn about weather patterns. They will also learn about movement in art, and how to create an interactive artwork! Students will then create an agamograph, depicting two of their favorite seasons. Agamographs are two artworks, measured, cut, and then reassembled so they can be viewed from multiple angles!

• The need is great and doesn't seem to slow down. Join us in having fun and raising money to help veterans in need. 100% of the proceeds go toward purchasing wood to create bedroom furniture sets for veterans throughout the state of Minnesota. Many of the sets are gifted to veterans in our neighboring community, as they spend time recovering and finding their purpose at Eagles Healing Nest in Sauk Centre. Giving someone a nice bed to sleep in and a place to put their clothes can help a person feel like they have a comfort zone.

• In this class, students will create cardboard looms in the shapes of different animals. We will then learn about simple weaving techniques, and use yarn to create an adorable woven animal!

2023 Art Adventures: Weaving a Basket Nest for Clay Birds (9–11yr. old class)

• In this class, students will create a small bird out of air dry clay, and some small clay eggs. Then, students will learn simple basket-weaving techniques to create a nest for their little bird.
