This workshop is designed for aspiring writers who want to discover and strengthen their fiction writing skills. Participants will explore narrative tools and elements essential to creating compelling stories. From character development to narrative structure, attendees will gain practical experience and valuable insights to begin their own fiction writing projects.

The Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center, in partnership with the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, is excited to celebrate our community, volunteers, our youth and our local businesses at this years awards luncheon.
🏆Chamber Member Business of the Year: This award recognizes a business that embodies the essence of community collaboration. Nominees should be active, engaged Chamber members who actively contribute to the local community's growth and prosperity.
🏆Community Service Award: The Community Service award was developed to honor an individual, group of people or an organization who has been making a significant contribution to the Glenwood Lakes Area community through their time, actions, talents and dedication (outside volunteer work done for their employer). The honoree selected should serve as a role model for compassion, and service and be striving to make the community a better place along with a passion for helping others in their community.
Awards will also be given to 🏆Youth of the Year chosen by staff at Minnewaska Area Schools and 🏆Friend of the Welcome Center chosen by Welcome Center Executive Director, Kay Blauert. Awards will be presented on May 16 at 11:30 at the Glenwood Lakes Area Community Awards Luncheon at Minnewaska House Brewing Co. + Grill. All are welcome to the awards luncheon.
