Registration will take place on line or by phone ONLY. Registration closes at 2 p.m. the Monday before the food drop. Registration on-line at www.uwdp.org between 10 a.m. Sunday, March 6, and 2 p.m. Monday, March 7, and complete the on-line form; or by calling 320-834-7800 on Monday, March 7, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This monthly event is made possible by the United Way of Pope and Douglas Counties. We all share this one planet and have a responsibility to do our part to sustain it for future generations. This Earth Day, join us at our Spring Convivium as we bring together regional climate experts to discuss real solutions to tackle climate change in our own backyard.
Featured guests include Dr. Heidi Roop, Assistant Professor of Climate Science at the University of Minnesota; Dr. Mark Seeley, former Extension Climatologist and Professor Emeritus in the Department of Soil, Water, and Climate at the University of Minnesota; and Sven Sundgaard, Broadcast Meteorologist.
Registration to attend this event in person is limited. We expect to reach our in-person capacity fairly quickly, so please don’t delay your registration. To amplify our message and connect with our broad audience base, we’re bringing this event online too!

Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 each year as a aod to the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement. The recognition began in 1970 to raise awareness and demonstrate support for environment protection
The Glenwood GFWC Potpouri will host an Earth day event aon April 22 at 12:30 p.m. in the upper seasonal campground at Barsness Park. A speaker will talk about the ongoing work of the Barsness Buckthorn Brigade and Laura Adrian will discuss Conscious Connection to Nature for Healing and Transformation.
The upper campground can be accessed to the right od the park bathhouse. Those attending should bring their own chairs.
