Summer is finally here, and we are excited for the start of our summer youth art program, Art Adventures! This year’s Art Adventures will run from Wednesday, July 3rd until Thursday, August 22nd, featuring eight weekly 2-hour-long classes for children ages 6–8 and 9–11.

Our program offers a fun, non-competitive, and non-outcome-based space where kids can explore and develop foundational artistic skills, fostering imagination and inspiration. We are thrilled to have Carson Thorson, licensed K-12 art teacher, return to lead this program once again this year!

This class will take place in Central Square’s Art Studio, Room 209 on the second floor. Accessible doors and an elevator are available.

Visit our website or call us today to learn more. Need-based scholarships are available; contact us for details.

We invite you to join us for our 3rd Annual Music on the Lawn event this June, July, and August. This mini music series is free and open to the public and will feature Minnesota singer-songwriter, Charlie Roth, and two guest performers at each event.

We will begin with a singer-songwriter circle workshop for aspiring musicians from 5–6 pm, followed by live music and arts festivities from 6:30–8 pm!

Bring your friends and family to relax on the Central Square lawn, enjoy great music, mingle with other community members, eat some hot homecooked food, and–new this year–iced cold adult beverages courtesy of Stacy Gerdes and Lakes Catering.

Visit our website at centralsquare.org to learn more!

Lineup:

June 14th: Andrea Lyn & PK Mayo

July 19th: J Wagner & Bill Poss

August 16th: Drew Peterson & Kelley Smith

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board grant thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
